DIES FOUNDER OF THE PINK FLOYD BAND RICHARD WRIGHT

London (Reuters) - The keyboardist Richard Wright, a founding member of the legendary Pink Floyd band, died on Monday after a short battle with cancer, his spokesman reported. The musician was 65 years. Wright, singer, composer and guitarist Syd Barrett, bass player Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason founded the band that became Pink Floyd in the 1960's when they were students. Pink Floyd became one of the most important bands in the history of rock.
